Quantum computing uses the physical principles of very small systems to develop platforms which can solve problems that are intractable on conventional supercomputers. There challenges not only in building required hardware but also identifying most promising application areas and developing corresponding quantum algorithms. The availability intermediate-scale noisy computers is now propelling developments novel algorithms, with applications across a variety domains, including aeroscience. Variational algorithms particularly because they comparatively noise tolerant aim achieve advantage few hundred qubits. Furthermore, applicable wide range optimization arising throughout natural sciences industry. To demonstrate possibilities for aeroscience community, we give perspective how variational be used computational fluid dynamics.
